About ASAP: ASAP Starter Packs provide owners a great foundation of essentials to help face the unexpected, with plenty of room for further customizing to meet each users unique needs through an array of situation-specific modules or via a la carte items. The entire line of ASAP Starter Packs, modules, and individual items are all accessible through the comprehensive ASAP website at http://www.asapsurvivalgear.com a one-stop source for premium gear, expert preparedness planning tips, and crucial up-to-the minute weather and emergency related information.
For the past several months, I've been using one of the ASAP survival packs. I took the items included with the "starter pack" added to them and customized the pack to meet our particular needs.
We live in Southern Illinois where tornadoes are pretty common and last year we had an "inland hurricane" that caused millions of dollars in property damage and was responsible for 2 deaths. Our area is also on the New Madrid fault and it's only a matter of when, not if, an earthquake will occur here.
For those and many other reasons, it only makes sense to have a "bug-out bag" that contains some necessary items that would allow you to live, at least somewhat comfortably for a few days and that's easy to grab and go.
Recently, I've become allergic to bee stings. Some Benadryl and an Epi-Pen are now included in my ASAP bag. Medications, important paperwork, personal protection items, etc. are just a few of the things you may want in your bag. The starter pack comes with a number of items and you can see those listed on the web site for ASAP.
We spent some time with the very helpful and informative manual that came with the bag, made some notes, and then began to make the starter pack our own.
Now when I head out the door on a trip, I can grab my ASAP bag and know that I have what I need to survive for a few days if some emergency should arise. I keep it handy and I still make notes of additional items that I want to include. It really is an ongoing process but at any time, I'm much more prepared than I was, just a few short weeks ago.
You visit the ASAP site, spend a few moments looking over the options available, read the helpful information and then consider one of the starter packs for you and your family. You'll be more prepared and ready for any unforeseeable event that might occur.
In every catastrophic event some people are prepared and fare quite well while others suffer needlessly. We can't prevent natural or man-made disasters but we can prepare for them. If you've ever lived through a time with with no power, stores and pharmacies closed, as we have, then you understand the value of being prepared.
ASAP Survival Gear may be just what you need to start your preparedness program.
