The sport of still target shooting may the fastest growing shooting sport. It has its origins in turkey hunting. The NWTF established the Grand National and World Championship shoots to inspire manufacturers of shooting related products to improve their offerings. It worked! Sanctioned Regional Still Target Shoots are held throughout the year. Shooters may qualify for the Grand and World by winning one of these shoots. You can learn more about these shoots by reading "What's a Still Target Shoot?" on this web site. In this column, I'll profile some of the leading shooters in this sport, both veterans and "ones to watch". These are some of the finest folks I know and I'd like you to know more about them. Look for these profiles soon and come back often. I'll be adding new shooters to the list throughout the next several months.
