Changing Attitudes in Chicago

In an effort to help educate the Chicago-area public about gun ownership, shooting and firearm safety, three ranges around the Windy City teamed up with the National Shooting Sports Foundation recently to hold a total of nine First Shots seminars -- all of them filled to capacity. About 150 people took their First Shots, including husbands and wives, mothers and daughters, members of the media, veterans who had not shot since being in the military and many others.

Ranges Honored for First Shots Efforts

Sim Trainer Academy in Ohio and Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Massachusetts were honored recently by the National Shooting Sports Foundation for their efforts in introducing newcomers in their communities to firearm safety and the shooting sports.
