Simpsonville, SC

World Record Holder in Women's 20 Gauge Class
World Champion in Women's 20 Gauge Class - 2007, 2010 2012 and 2014

Doris Bush entered the shooting world in 2006 in a big way. She won most of the State/Regional competitions that she entered and made her first appearance at the World Championshipl Still Target Shoot in Edgefield, SC in October.

On the first day of the World Championshipl, she shattered the Women's Class record by putting 30 #6 shot in the 3" circle at 40 yards. This was especially meaningful, since the old record had been set with an "open" gun and Doris shot an unaltered Remington 870 Express shotgun.

In 2007, in only her 2nd year of competition, she won the Women's World Championship. Her form and consistent shooting skills were noted by all observers.

She's gone on to win 3 additional World Championships and thus become the "winningest worman" in the history of the sport.

Her World Record, set in 2007, is the longest standing record in the sport for any class.

"Shooter Profiles" highlights accomplishments of still target shooters and can be accessed on this web site.
