2006 Was a Good Year

Still Target Shooting

The allaboutshooting/Swarm team was "on the road" in 2006 to participate in still target shoots around the country.

The team recorded wins at The Timber Shoot, Abbbeville, SC; the Marlin Mid-America Cup in Medina, Ohio; The Kansas State Shoot, Randolph, Kansas; The Tennessee State Shoot, Tellico Plains, Tennessee; the Bass Pro Mid-Atlantic Challenge in Statesville, North Carolina; the Charles Daly Challenge in Clinton, South Carolina, the WITO Shoot, Chickamauga, Georgia, the Illinois State Shoot, Rend Lake, Illinois and the Indiana State Shoot.

allaboutshooting/Swarm team members not only had a winning record in 2006 but had some very impressive scores and broke 2 World Records.

In North Carolina, Clark Bush scored first a 38 and then a 39 in the 12 gauge hunter class, bettering the existing world record of 35. At that same shoot he also scored a 38 in the 12 gauge open class closing the gap on the existing record of 42.

At the Grand National Shoot in South Carolina, Doris Bush set a new Women's World Record by scoring 30 pellets in the 3" circle, with a factory Remington 870, a Swarm 20 Gauge Turkey Choke and Hevi-13 ammunition. This bettered the existing Womens record of 20 and that record was set with a custom shotgun!

The regular season is now over and now it's time to reflect on the year. We met a lot of new shooters and were able to see some old friends. The shooting was excellent. We'll take a couple weeks off but then it will be time for turkey season, goose season, duck season, deer season...

Thank you for all your support this year and for coming out to the shoots to meet us and enjoy this great sport of still target shooting.
