Ottsville, PA—Longtime Professional Shooter, Harlan Campbell, Jr. demonstrated on Friday night at the Grand American Trap Shoot in Sparta, Illinois, that he is truly the master of trap shooting in the United States.
Harlan’s Krieghoff K-80 performed flawlessly allowing him to capture his first back-to-back ATA World Clay Target Championship, a feat not performed at The Grand American since 1936. The shoot-off field of sixty-seven shooters on Thursday evening offered Campbell a round of perfectly shot 200-targets and lasted until midnight eventually dwindling down to a final four shooters for the championship shoot-off on Friday evening.
Harlan Campbell, Jr. commented, “It’s always good when you repeat something within the history of the game. This year was a good year for me. Here at The Grand, my Mom and Dad couldn’t make it out, and I was a bit off early in the week. it’s always nice when the good Lord smiles, and some sunshine comes through.”
Alex Diehl, COO of Krieghoff International added, “We congratulate Harlan for this tremendous achievement. He really is one of the all-time greats, and we are extremely proud and honored to have him on the Krieghoff team.”
