Pillager, MN - Magnum Research has been working on developing a suppressed .22LR barrel for well over a year. In keeping with their philosophy of Customer Service first and extreme performance, they finally are bringing to market the TTS (Tactical Tensioned Suppressed) barrel.
Many issues were addressed, engineered and tested during the development stages.
1. It had to shoot extremely well.
2. It had to be light weight.
3. It had to be field serviceable and cleanable.
4. It had to always shoot to the same point of impact when the baffles were removed, cleaned and replaced.
The TTS-22 does it all and comes in at just 1.1 pounds. The patented barrel utilizes the space inside the outer tensioning tube as well as a monolithic baffle stack to suppress the noise. All of the “guts” are hard coat anodized for easy cleaning.
The TTS-22 barrel will be available in early 2018 on Magnum’s semi auto rifles as well as an
aftermarket barrel that will fit all Ruger 10/22 TM non takedown rifles. It features a BENZ chamber, tensioned hammer forged barrel liner, extreme accuracy, .875” diameter, field strippable with no tools and is very quiet. The steel liner inside the barrel is 16.1” long, so there is not an SBR event when purchasing it. Easy care instructions are included with each rifle/barrel sold.
The MLR22ATTTS22 rifle has a 20.5” TTS-22 barrel installed, it features a black anodized aluminum barrel shroud and ambidextrous black thumbhole stock. MSRP is $860. MSRP on the barrel only, ABAR1022TTS22, is $399.
