In the coming weeks, Ruger will be releasing some new guns. As the information has gone out to retailers – and is bound to get out – we're allowed to share some information now.
To start with, news is already out about the GP100 five-shot .44 Special. Fitted with a three-inch barrel, adjustable sights (fiber optic up front) and made of stainless steel, it's the answer to the big-bore aficionado's dream. At 36 ounces and chambered for the remarkable .44 Special (not Magnum) cartridge, it wears the Hogue Monogrip. Reasonably compact, light enough to carry while heavy enough to shoot all day, the new GP100 will be a welcome addition to the revolver line.
